recalling and first flight feathers



Thanks everyone, for your advice and hints. Nate, yes, his wings were clipped when his flight feathers were first growing out. I think you're right because I've heard of lots of birds who aren't good flyers because of their wings having being clipped too soon. 
He recently stayed with someone who has another quaker, whose wings were never clipped, and she told me that hers flew really well and could practically hover, whereas mine was a clumsy flyer in comparison.
