You have changed that thinking.
Well, Jack, the male GW did not learn how to fly. So I had to teach him from
scratch starting with hopping from a coffeetable to me.
It took ages for him to learn circles and he did not fly through doors. At
the end of this January I bought a new mate for him (his former partner
died). SHe was raised by her parents. THey have been learning a lot from
each other. She learned to trust me, and is now a tame cuddlebug (when I got
her she very cautiously with a lot of distance would just take a treat out
of my hands) and Jack certainly has learned flight skills from her that he
had not accomplished in the three previous years.
Withing weeks of observing her obvious skill he started to copy and now he
is just as proficient a flyer as she, being able to turn on a pin.
I do not know whther he would have been able to learn how to fly through
doors, if he hadn't learned how to properly fly from her.
