Okay, i got the update on this girl today, i talked to the owner of her. I
found out that i was mistaken, the grey did not pass on...what happened was that
she and her partner split up, and he took the grey with no feet with him,
which is why i hadnt seen her for so long. She's actually still alive and doing
very well! She must be 7-8 years old by now. I also got some tips on what they
did for her...they had a big problem with the bottoms of the stumps bleeding
when she'd land on them or walk on them, since the skin doesnt start out very
tough. They wrapped the stumps with vet wrap, and then covered that with infant
baby booties. Eventually the stumps got caloused enough that they no longer
have to put anything on them. Also, as i said before, they cut large, fat
perches lengthwise so that the top was a flat surface, many they covered with
vetwrap for better traction, as well as ramps. But anyway, she does exceptionally
well, and is a great bird, though she does have a very powerful bite when she
so chooses. Let me know if i can be of any more help, and good luck with your
little one! :)

Take care,
Nicole
