Kevin, there was an excellent article about just that in the "Good Bird
Inc." magazine, Winter 2005 issue.  "Training for Vaccinations" Reading
that encouraged me to teach Toby to take her antibiotics and worming
medicine without toweling her.  

I had just done 10 days of the same (antibiotics and worming medicine
with a syringe, orally) with Henry (toweling him) and did not want to
have to repeat that experience with Toby.  And it worked!  That may not
be the same as blood draws, but trust me, I was elated to get through 14
days of oral medicine without having to towel her!
