Gay -- A year ago I would have vehemently disagreed with Steve's position.
In fact, I did disagree. Now, however, I have changed my mind again. With
all of the bogus charletons out there, like glove-man and the sales dude who
had the glitzy web site....its too easy for people to be misled with FF voodoo.
We've spent months arguing about how to use weight control, to the point
that some people are now being censored. Today we are told that there never was
an issue in the first place. Unfortunately the lost birds tell a different
story.
We can expect a series of opportunists to surface and test the waters here.
As a list, we have been poor at building enough of a knowledge base to
empower listers to see through the smoke and mirrors. Without a strong credibility
compass to guide us, each snake-oil saleman will make hay here.
In light of all of that, I think Steve's position is probably very
responsible.
